Eric and Ann, approached us with a view to demolishing Eric’s dental surgery, which adjoined their house in Crowthorne. In its place, they were looking to build a new luxury four-bedroom house.
Their original intention was to remain in their existing home and sell the new house. However, during the preparation stage, after viewing some homes we had recently constructed in Wokingham, they changed their mind and decided to keep the new house for themselves and offer the existing property to their son.
Custom build solution
Eric and Ann were very apprehensive about embarking on a self-build project, with all the responsibility that goes with it, and they eventually decided to opt for our custom build model. This allowed them to retain all the fun, creative decisions but pass on the day-to-day management to us.
The couple were working to a tight budget, and the other attraction of custom build was our Fixed Price Build Contract. This meant they would always know where they were with the finances and there would be no unpleasant surprises at the end.
Stunning glass Orangery
The house was designed in a traditional style with a bespoke arched front door. A spacious entrance hall, solid oak staircase and galleried landing created an instant impression upon entering the home. Another noteworthy feature was the stunning glass Orangery with French doors leading to the rear garden.
On the first floor, the highlight was undoubtedly the large master bedroom with en-suite that came with its own spacious dressing room. No wonder Eric and Ann changed their mind about selling this immaculate property.
